Early design for an educational tool that would allow psychology students to compare and visually link historical figures and events in an interactive timeline. A question and answer forum was also part of the design.
I was commissioned to design and build a custom stand for micro-brewing equipment. It had to be easily transportable on wheels, support about 500lbs, hide cables and gas pipes, all while being aesthetically pleasing.
A sample of a display font that I recently started designing.
A reconstruction of numbers based on a photo of my childhood home. The address of the house was printed on a large awning facing the street. I liked the lettering, so I decided to reconstruct a full set of numbers based on four digits. I later found out that my grandfather had painted them by hand.
The family of artist Loló Soldevilla asked me to design an emblem and dry stamp to use in some of their stationery. I based the design on her geometric and abstract style (Concretism) and on the fact that her last name literally means "villa's sun".
I designed a cover for one of my favorite books: The Cloven Viscount by Italo Calvino. The main character is split in two by a cannonball during a battle. The surreal story follows the two people that result from the accident.
An Arduino based step sequencer and synth that I built using pre-existing code. I designed the case and built the circuitry inside. The design was inspired by a bat's anatomy and screeching sounds, hence the name: 8 bit bat.
I'm a designer based in Chicago. I like solving problems and building things. I'm especially drawn to interactive design and animation in all its forms. When I'm not working on a project, or distracting myself with a weird bug in the corner, you'll likely find me riding a bike around town while eating a donut.
